MY SECOND LOVE... POTTERY

From 1996 to 2020, Scott Haines lived and worked on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  After a career in the Air Force and obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Scott established Bridges Street Pottery in Morehead City. Bridges Street Pottery was a studio and gallery where Scott not only showed his work, but the work of his students as well. Scott taught pottery at Carteret Community College, and advanced classes and workshops at his studio.  Through the years, Scott taught and launched many successful potters that are now located across the country.

In March of 2014, Scott  and  Donna  got together and a beautiful collaboration was born.  Scott throws the graceful, elegant, gravity defying pieces, and Donna is the one who glazes the pots with varied, often intricate, designs. While her first love is painting, Donna uses her talents to further beautify Scott’s creations. Along with tall vases, this couple creates many functional stoneware pieces including large platters, sinks, bowls, and mugs.
